Adobe has announced today that support for the Flash plugin will cease at the end of 2020.

At FlexiTime we’ve been preparing for this change for some time.

The core FlexiTime application still uses the Flash plugin. When FlexiTime was initially developed in 2008 this provided the most compelling, rich user interface and it took years for other internet technologies to catch up.

Nearly 10 years down the track the tools for developing web applications have gone ahead in leaps and bounds. We’ve been embracing these changes. Our mobile app, SHiFT photo time clock and the new employee portal are all developed using these new open standards.

If you haven’t tried out the new employee portal, take a look. It will give you a good idea of how fantastic the new incarnation of FlexiTime will look.

We’re well advanced in developing a new customer interface for our core payroll application to match what you’ve seen with our most recent product releases. Rest assured that the changes won’t impact customer information at all – the payroll processing will be carried out in exactly the same way.

If you're keen to upgrade to PayHero, our new and improved payroll software that doesn't rely on the Flash plugin to work, you can learn more here.
