FlexiTime @ Bizzone Wellington
August 2, 2010
Most Creative Site
Our theme for the recent Bizzone Expo in Wellington was retro-lounge with the main feature being the funky 1960’s wallpaper design created by Base Two from our logo. Maybe you’re wondering what flexible online payroll has to do with a retro lounge. We’re not too sure, but our stand was different and we did win the Most Creative Site award! Kind of like FlexiTime – different to the other payroll systems and creative in the way it integrates employee time recording with payroll.
I hope we had the opportunity to explain what’s so cool about FlexiTime; it lets you give access to your employees so they can view and change their time. Then you create the pay in one simple step from the time entered.
It saves you time re-entering the same information into different systems and reduces mistakes being made and improves the communication with your staff about when they are rostered to work. Perfect for businesses with flexible workers such as hospitality, home health care, motels and hotels, recruitment, etc.
There’s a whole bunch of other reasons why you should choose FlexiTime such as the fantastic design and usability, our great free support, Xero integration and that we’re continually improving the application. It’s a great application for all types of small businesses.
Internet Industry Awards
We were blown away to be named as one of the four finalists in the Internet Industry Awards in the Best Business Application category. Hopes were high at last night’s awards dinner held in the banquet hall at the Beehive. Unfortunately we missed out to another great Wellington company and Creative HQ alumnus StarNow. We like to think that we were second equal.
Congratulations to all the winners, including our friends at Flexible Learning Networks and ECCA and thanks to the Liz Dengate-Thrush Foundation for organising the awards.
We’ve got some great changes coming up in the next few weeks. Our next release is a little low key as we’re upgrading the version of Flex we use so that we can add a file import function that will let you import employee time from Excel or CSV files created from external systems such as Quest POS.
In the next release we’ve got some fantastic improvements to how you enter time into FlexiTime including the already mentioned file import, extending time segments by dragging the ends, variable zoom and a revamped time entry field that’s payroll-icious !
